In April 2006, a group of 10 local Santa Monica business owners and socially connected residents set out to host a "huge" party, gathering the community and local companies while raising funds to donate towards a worthy charity. Their goal was to "help urge generosity everywhere" which was exercised at the debut event: a white party known as the "Sexy Summer Soiree", and it was HUGE. This exclusive and entertaining event gathered white-clad, open-minded, Angeleno social butterflies, unified through generously donating towards the efforts of Heal the Bay to clean up our beaches. Lisa Haque was inspired by the gratitude of the attendees, and the ongoing pleas of "When's the next white party?", to throw the follow up event: "Party With A Cause Presents: White 2007" at the newly designed Backyard at L.A.'s W Hotel. This was an uber exclusive, sold-out event that raised $20,000 for Heal the Bay. Sponsors included Heineken, Krol Vodka, Tequila 33, Red Bull, Tengu & others, and LA Confidential covered the event in their September 2007 edition.
